Katherine Vick is an advisor to Lyons Solutions, LLC specializing is creating innovative financing solutions and exit strategies for business owners. With 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Vick's consulting and operating career spans a diverse range of industries including high technology (software and hardware development, photonics, fiber optics and the internet), retail (e-commerce and traditional), service (multimedia publishing, health care and finance), and manufacturing (high fashion apparel and chemical). Her experience includes initiating and closing every phase of equity financing from small private placements to a major IPO, developing strategic business plans, advising on and negotiating joint ventures, and serving as CFO as well as CEO. A leader in Connecticut's high-tech business community, Ms. Vick is a past Board Member and President of the Connecticut Venture Group and was instrumental in launching its annual Crossroads Venture Fair, the Northeast's premier venue for capital. She served for eight years on the Board of Connecticut Innovations (CI), the state's leading high-tech venture investor. She continues to serve on CI's Valuation Committee. From 1997 until early 2001, Ms. Vick joined the management team of pioneering e-commerce retailer, Outpost.com, where she served as EVP & CFO, and later CEO. During her 4-year tenure with the company, the Outpost's annual sales grew from $10 to nearly $300 million. Ms. Vick holds an MBA (finance) and an Advanced Professional Certificate (accounting) from New York University's Stern School of Business where she was a H. A. Hopf and D. E. Campbell Fellow. She has her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Boston College. |
